Salient facts:
Lots of college. Lots of writing. Very very late to making art.
In fact, it was only after getting the boot from law school that I started building canvasses. I suppose that qualifies as being part of a long line of ex-law school students who went on to do better things with their lives.
You do have an interetsing discenment as to what got you into Art

I probably should have never gone to law school in any event. ‘Just because you can’ isn’t necessarily a good enough reason. But it did help clarify a lot of other issues, oh absolutely.
